May Sew Day

The May meeting was held at a local quilt shop called Coins and Quilts in West Allis, Wisconsin. The shop has a nice big classroom with plenty of room to set up sewing machines. The room also has cutting mats, rulers, ironing boards and irons available for use. What a nice setup!

Some of our volunteers drove in all the way from Door County for today's sew day. They brought plenty of finished quilts along. It's so fun and inspiring to see the variety of fabrics and quilt patterns used to make these beauties.

The ladies sewed from 10 until after 2 in the afternoon filling the day with their enthusiasm for sewing and creativity.  Sew days are a great way to connect with other generous quilting enthusiasts.

Now we look forward to the nice Wisconsin summer so we will not have any more scheduled sew days until September. Until then, we will keep on making more quilts!
